Care Connection are recruiting a permanent Cook for one of our residential homes in the Angmering Area. Working with a team of two other Cooks you will be required to be flexible with working patterns and schedules. You will also need to be prepared to assist in the Kitchen Assistant role to ensure that clean as you go is maintained and client satisfaction is key.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals for clients, staff, and visitors.
Follow dietary guidelines and special dietary requirements as outlined.
Ensure the kitchen and food preparation areas are clean, organized, and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Manage inventory and order kitchen supplies as needed to maintain stock.
Collaborate with dietitians and medical staff to create menu options that accommodate client’s needs.
Monitor food preparation techniques to maintain quality and taste.
Participate in food tastings and menu development with the culinary team.
Permanent position after a 16 week qualifying period

Requirements

Proven experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to prepare meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

DBS clearance and competency check completion
