Job Overview:

As a Hospital Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of Grange University Hospitals. Your responsibilities will include transporting patients in wheelchairs and beds to various departments within the hospital. This role requires a caring and compassionate individual who values patient well-being and understands the importance of efficient hospital logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport patients in wheelchairs and beds to different hospital departments.
  • Ensure the safe and timely movement of patients while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to coordinate patient transfers.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and hospital protocols.

Shifts:

We offer a variety of shift patterns:

  • 0700 - 1900
  • 0800 - 2000
  • 1000 - 1800
  • 1200 – 2000

Pay:

Starting at £10.42 per hour, with the potential to increase to £19.07 after 12 weeks.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Physically fit and able to perform the duties of the role.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
